New project alert!

I’m happy to announce that we’re adding Kuku Hayate’s “Maou no Amai Keiyaku” (The Sweet Contract of the Demon King) to our roster!

I’ve completely fallen for Kuku Hayate’s stuff. Her stories involve demons/creatures, food, and boys that look like real guys! Her other story “Ayashi Kimi no Koi Wazurai/Your Lovesickness” is being scanlated by Loveless, which involves kitsune/foxes. Very cute and highly recommended. XD

A short summary: One day Ryou, a patisserie-in-training at the famous “Witch Cafe” called “Unbreakable”, is told by his grandmother that it is time to for him meet the one who protects their recipes. Little does he know this protector happens to be the demon lord named Chrome, who also sport horns and a lion tail! Despite his odd looks, Chrome’s deep affection for cakes keeps Ryou on his toes, if he’s not all over him instead!

The join page is a bit out of date, so I thought I would post this here. As you can tell we have not been able to stay frequent with our releases. This saddens me probably more than it does our faithful fans and readers.

Beautiful-Soup needs some energetic, trustworthy people to join the team. We really need Japanese Translators and Editors. No prior experience is necessary, but please know some basics - especially in translating, rarely do our projects have furigana. Please email me - mix1985@gmail.com if interested. We have had a few people apply and get accepted, but they they just disappear and I don’t hear back from them. I need people who are willing to commit. I don’t care if it takes you a few weeks to get something done, as long as you are willing to get it done.

We’ve made it to the big five! That’s five years of blood, sweat, tears and other unmentionables from putting out the boys love in that time and here’s to many more to come! [No pun intended, really!] A lot has happened with this group since its immaculate conception and changes in identity [we had a phase known as Possible-Soup for awhile]. It all began with a band of weird-yet-wonderful people with a passion for a hobby, some of whom have now chosen to pursue bigger better things in their lives, but their legacy remains with us in our work today. We only wish them all the best in their endeavors, as well as to those who continue to enjoy what we put our all into.

We really busted our butts to make this release happen this time, and have dealt with lots of issues…everything from computers missing to job stuff to other real life issues. But we have prevailed to give you all more sacchrine-filled chibi Puchi Puri goodness just in time for our lovely group’s founding.

In addition, please be sure to extend your warm fuzzy welcomes/thank you’s/offers of firstborn children to our newest staff member to join the saltmines group, pinkiblu! Without her lovely editing powers, there would be no release so *bows to her*.

And lastly, a big thank you to the readers from all of us here at Soup for your support and patience. We read every comment posted and they really do give us the energy and drive to do what we do out of our own love to share and enjoy hot guy on guy action quality BL. Certainly without you, there would be no purpose to our existence! And to whoever donated to us, WE LOVE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH! Soup is all personally run out of the goodness of our thinning wallets, so we gladly appreciate whatever contributions you can spare. It keeps us working on the boy loving for you all to enjoy.

As for pimping this time around, we are currently seeking a serious experienced QCer, preferrably with a strong grasp of English and an OCD-like attention to detail (general level of Japanese knowledge preferred, but not necessary). Since QCers are the last one to see the pages before release, we want to make sure our stuff is released in a timely manner crisp, clean, and ready to go off the presses. If you feel you have that much to offer, please email  Mixie (mix1985@gmail.com) with your inquiry. Please include “QC position inquiry” in the subject line so it doesn’t get lost and Mixie never returns your email…

Puchi Puri chapter 2

Here is the first insert that I made for our post-anniversary release! For some reason Hina wouldn’t let me put it in the file T___T It took all of my MS Paint skillz to do! Everyone should shun her! Shunshun!

Today we celebrate yet another Anniversary.

This one is a bit odd from former ones, as things are slower these days. Due to some behind the scenes issues we weren’t able to release something on time. We do have something almost ready for release.

Ugh, so we live! There are some things that we are working on, and at this time are not dropping any projects. We have a few new staff members so hopefully this will help get things going faster!

Today is a bustling day! We have completed Aoi Kujou’s Kiss no Mukou! Yays~

Also, our IRC channel has been changed to #fuso. Beautiful-Soup is now sharing irc channels with Fushichou to try to spur irc activity and such. Feel free to drop in.

Wow! Thank you to the new editors that have signed up! Also, some of our old editors have arrived since summer came in! This is awesome, but we’re running into a problem…. WE DONT HAVE MUCH THINGS TO EDIT!!

We are desperately seeking reliable Japanese Translators that can translate things without Furigana.

We are also open to jointing with another team that has translating capabilities. Please only send me an email if you are willing to help out.

Here at Soup, we’re always trying to find ways to appeal to the growing popularity of scanlated Bl out there. We’re grateful knowing our faithful readers and lurkers who enjoy our projects so we can continue to work on them.

And so, a few of us here Soup have contemplated adding a new project to our list, and decided upon Puchi Puri by Kazuhiko Mishima (Reverse, Love Neco, etc). Whlie it is mainly sho-ai, we found it too adorable for words to NOT translate it.

Update: This is being translated right now, our scanner is ordering it. So it’s a go!
